The Mob have been around since the advent of SlamBall, and remain one of the league’s most popular and successful teams. They won the last two SlamBall championships (2012 and 2016 in China) and could be on their way to a three-peat based on their stellar performance Week 1. The Mob (4-0) won the first Main Event of the season last Friday and did the same thing during Sunday’s session, easily securing the top spot in SlamBall’s initial Power Rankings. The league’s only undefeated team was rarely tested, winning their four games by an average of 29 points. Showing just how dominant they’ve been, the Mob have averaged the most points in the league (64.3 per game) while allowing the fewest (35.5 per game).
The Buzzsaw (3-1) edge the Wrath (3-1) for the second slot in the Power Rankings based on their 44-32 head-to-head victory in the second Main Event last Friday. The Lava chime in at No. 4 despite going 0-2 to start the season, losing each game by just four points.
