Brian Gentry, who hails from Winston-Salem, N.C., is much more than just a former football player. As a high school star at East Forsyth High School in Winston Salem, Gentry garnered all-state, all-conference and All-Northwest honors, which earned him over 15 college scholarship offers. He chose Morgan State, where he caught 26 passes for 350 yards and two touchdowns in 33 games at wide receiver from 2015-19. He concluded his college football career at Fayetteville State, making seven grabs for 107 yards and one score in five contests. Despite having transitioned into a career as a behavioral tech and social worker, Brian Gentry’s football agent had an intriguing suggestion – to try his hand at SlamBall. Embracing the idea, Gentry took the opportunity to recommend Darion Slade, a childhood friend who now plays for the Wrath.
