Bakari Copeland
Professional Career
Bakari Copeland is no stranger to finding the bottom of the net. As a senior at the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore, Copeland led his team in points per game (17.4) and rebounds per game (6.1) while tallying at least 10 points in 31 of 34 contests. During his senior campaign, Copeland received first team All-MEAC honors, as well as a BOXTOROW second team All-American spot. Over his two seasons (2015-17) with the Shore Hawks, Copeland registered 14.0 PPG and 5.4 RPG. During his senior campaign at Arabia Mountain High School in Stonecrest, Ga., Bakari Copeland was the top scorer in DeKalb County, averaging 23.3 PPG, and won both the 2013 DeKalb County and Atlanta Journal-Constitution Slam Dunk contests. He played basketball overseas in Switzerland and Portugal before being a first-round pick of the Rumble in the 2023 SlamBall Draft. He is also an accomplished actor and songwriter, performing a sold-out show while playing in Portugal.
