Faysal Shafaat
Professional Career
To say Faysal “Fessy” Shafaat is an accomplished athlete would be an understatement. As a senior at Orlando Lutheran Academy, Shafaat was one of Florida’s top football recruits, earning all-state honors. He led the state with 20 sacks while catching 26 passes for 538 yards and eight TDs. He was also a standout prep basketball player, earning league MVP honors as a junior. He concentrated on football at the next level, earning All-America recognition twice and All-Southern Conference accolades three times as a tight end at Chattanooga. As a four-year starter, he racked up 125 career catches with 18 TD grabs, fourth-most in Mocs history. Since then, Faysal Shafaat has been a two-time finalist for the hit MTV show The Challenge and appeared on CBS’ Big Brother and American Ninja Warrior. His name is pronounced Fessel (rhymes with vessel) Sha-FOUGHT.
