Matthew Wilkerson

Professional Career

Matthew Wilkerson showed promise on both sides of the ball as a tight end and defensive end at Edward Waters College, grabbing the attention of NFL scouts. As a senior in 2019, he hauled in 19 passes for 293 yards and four touchdowns on offense while making 25 tackles with an interception on defense. Before the 2020 NFL season, Matthew Wilkerson had the opportunity to work out for the Green Bay Packers and Jacksonville Jaguars before getting released. After a short stint on the CFL’s Edmonton Elks, Wilkerson was signed by the Massachusetts Pirates of the Indoor Football League.
